Another one-thousand views, another update for the journal. Well, in my last kiriban, I thought no one seemed to have caught any number. Well, I think about a week or two later, it seems someone did catch something. And that someone is ~Wanderers, who presented a 20,007 screencap - this means he will get the prize. So, congrats to him.

Now, I don't know if some of you saw in one of my recent deviations that I'm trying to get into working with Prismacolor pencils. So far, so good. Found a few great tutorials and really helpful tips (who knew you could use basic household items? ). I've had the same set of pencils for years but never actually knew how to use them...I used to just press down really hard. With the summer creeping up rather quickly, I really don't like being in my room when it's hot...So during the summer, you'll probably be seeing a lot more traditional media.

As for the comics, I'm not at all happy with the pace I've been working in. I just barely do a few things and then I move on to waste my time in more stupid, idle things. I mean, I've been working on the second Aftermath chapter since when? 2007? I was hoping I'd be done by now. :/ Maybe it's because I've just grown to hate working with the right-to-left format...thing is, I can't just switch to the opposite mid-chapter...I planned on waiting until the beginning of the next chapter to make that switch. That, and the shading style, I'm not really fond of it. Waiting for the next chapter to make that change too. And then there's Shuhei...in the past year I gave him a sliiiight makeover, and I'm left drawing him in his old haircut for a while. c.c

And speaking of the characters, I've been thinking for several months now of changing their names...I've pretty much grown tired of their names, especially "Himei". I've figured out a good way to make the change seamlessly, if I ever decided to go through with it. I think the change will feel especially weird for Himei; I've had the character for nearly ten years, and I've always called her that since the first time I used her in an RPG. I still have plenty of figuring out to do, and luckily plenty of time. So, we'll see what happens then. Well, I guess that's it for this rant. Take care, everyone!
